Wife's Bathroom Renovation:Jen's been doing all of this "her own self", mostly when I go on trips. I seemed to think we ought to get the workshop project done before starting any others, but she wasn't in agreement. Anyway, it seems pretty good. I'm very proud of her. Good work dear.
Went for a walk this weekend in the
forest near our place. We got a bit lost. Jen wasn't too pleased, but I was glad to get a good long walk in.
Also, I checked out some of the trees that I've planted on our land within the last 2 years. Some are good, some not so good.
Sugar Maples: completely decimated, probably by deer
Small apple trees grown from seed: mostly decimated, I'm hoping some might recover
Two plum trees: one is fine and put on nice growth during the fall. It was about 2 feet when planted, and now about 4 ft. The other has taken some animal damage, I'm hoping it'll recover, but it hasn't put on much growth
Metasequoia: doing well, put on about foot of growth in it's first full season.
Butternut: This tree is the winner. This is it's 2nd winter. It was about 2 ft when I planted it, now it's about 6.5!
