More travel hassles:
Couldn't get a cab from two different companies. Apparantly it only takes 5 minutes for a cab to get there. I waited almost a hour. I ended up having to offer the hotel clerk all the money in my wallet if she'd drive me to the airport. Desperation to get home. Fortunately she gave me a expediant drive in her truck. She even refused my money. I insisted, telling her it was being expensed.
Then, when I arrive at the airport, I find my flight cancelled. Fortunately, a bit of luck kicks in. Strangely, I actually have two return tickets. I wanted to get home earlier than the return ticket matching my arrival would get me in, so we had to buy another ticket. It wasn't very much extra. So, I'm using that ticket. At least I get home today. Hopefully there won't be any more trouble.
